Remembrance Day Service – November 11, 2026
Join us for our annual Remembrance Day Service as we honour the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of Canada’s Veterans and fallen heroes. This year’s service will be held again at the Jarnel Contracting Pavilion.
Wednesday, November 11, 2026
Service begins at 10:30 AM, with a moment of silence at 11:00 AM. Wreaths will be laid following the silence, by invitation. The service proceeds rain or shine. The pavilion is an outdoor venue with a roof, so please dress for the weather.
Weather permitting, the service will be followed by a parade to the cenotaph on Main Street South, where a wreath will be laid. The public is welcome to join the parade. The parade decision will be made the morning of the service.
Once the service concludes, or the parade if it takes place, all are welcome to join us at the Legion Clubroom for refreshments, comradeship, and the sharing of stories. The Clubroom will open after the service and parade have finished. Whether you’re reconnecting with old friends or remembering a Veteran loved one, your presence helps keep their legacy alive.
“Remembrance Day is about taking a moment to pause, reflect, and recognize the courage of those who gave so much,” says Jason Lava, President and Poppy/Remembrance Chair of Branch 12. “We gather to reflect, to remember, and to carry their memory forward—together.”
